The Economic Society of Thessaloniki (E.S.TH.) is a non-profit organization that its main goals are to contribute to the economic development of the country and the scientific exhilaration of its members. Furthermore, E.S.TH. motivates its members to implement high ethical principles and moral values during the performance of the profession of the economist as well as in other professions relevant to the profession of the economist. The members of E.O.TH. are mainly lecturers in Universities of Greece, business executives, public servants as well as freelancers and scientists with professions relevant to the profession of the economist.
Members of E.S.TH can become all university graduates (namely Universities and Technological Educational Institutions) as well as postgraduates with a major in economics.
The Economic Society of Thessaloniki was founded in 1979 and one of its major projects is the organization of the International Scientific Conference of The Economic Society of Thessaloniki with referees, which takes place every two years. The topics of the Conference include economics, the economic and social background of society and current events. E.O.TH. recently organized for the first time The Conference for new Economists. In this Conference postgraduates of various economics related departments from local universities presented their research
